Rogue Sun

Rogue Sun by Ryan Parrott (Power Rangers) and Abel (Harley Quinn, Crimes of Passion) follows rebellious teenager Dylan Siegel discovery that superhero Rogue Sun was his estranged father, Marcus-and that he's inherited his father's mantle. Tasked with protecting our world from the forces of the supernatural-and solving his father's murder-Dylan will be forced to come to terms with the man he's spent the majority of his life hating.

Kelly crafted a cover design for Image Comic’s Rogue Sun, issue 19 flip book that embodies the spirit of the flip book mechanism. Given the nature of not only the narrative style for the issue but the theme of Rogue Sun, a fire Knight— it felt most fitting to approach this design in the style of a two-way playing card.

The design flips to have either Dylan or Marcus the right way up depending on whose perspective you are following, the front design being Dylan and the back Marcus.
